Khora padded in just a bit after her. She sighed, her paws were aching but she still had a few things in order. She flicked her tail at Lunar beckoning her over. "I need to talk to you."

Lunar looked over at Khora and nodded. She obediently followed and asked, "Is something wrong?"

The brown she-wolf shook her head. "No of course not..." She looked at her very seriously. "I've noticed your skill and compassion. Lunar, would you like to become my apprentice as a healer?"

Lunar wasn't expecting this. At first she was some-what speachless. After a moment she nodded quickly with a smile on her face and her voice boomed, "YES!"

Khora smiled, but first had to make sure Lunar understood the responsibility she was accepting. "Know this though," The healer said looking down at her with a certain attitude that would scare a pup. "The life of a healer is a difficult one. You are responsible for all of the lives in the pack. Illness and injuries, and must know that you can't heal the all. But by accepting this life, you are putting yourself in a honored and respected position. You cannot easily change your mind. If you do this Lunar. You will FOREVER be a healer."

Lunar lifted an eyebrow, thinking about what Khora just said. She nodded, "Well, thats a lot to take in. But yes! I would love to be a healer!"

Pleasure crossed Khora's face. "Good." She got on her fours. "We must tell the pack." She padded in front of the den, flicking her tail for her apprentice to follow. "Your training begins in the morning."

Lunar smiled and replied with, "I'll be ready." She smiled to herself and returned to sitting just outside of the den entrance.

Khora cleared her throat and howled to call the pack together. Thought Raffiel would have to find out later. "I have wonderful news." She called out. "Lunar shall be my apprentice in healing. Soon, someday soon, we will have a fine healer among us."

Khora looked at Lunar with pride. She could tell this was going to be a wonderful healer. She nodded approval at Lunar, and then listened to the word around them.

Rowan got up and hopped on three legs "Congrats Lunar!" he licked her check and left.

The pups, not having a clue as to what was going on, harmonized with the pack somehow. Yipping and barking then joining in with high pitched howl-squeeks! (lol! X3 Howl-squeeks... Laughing

)

Then they got cut-off as Rowan jumped up "AYEEP!!!!!!" Granite yipped and grabbed Lily as he fell

Khora instantly noticed he was on only three legs. "Rowan." She calmly spoke. "What happened to your other leg?"

The pups yipped and ran around trying to get attention "Ayeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee YIIP RYYUIIIEEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (heheheh I like typing out funky noises ^3^)

She nodded and looked at Lunar. "Looks like your training starts early. We need Nettle and Horsetail to speed of the recovery. I know Rowan will want all his legs soon."

Lunar's face went blank and she mumbled, "I don't know what those are."

She laughed shaking her head. "Of course not. Horsetail has long shoot that rise from its roots. A bunch of long stems that reach high-" She cut herself off catching some on her sights. "There is some there." Then looked around suddenly thinking of something very very improtant. "Um nevermind about Nettle. It can kill dogs and wolves so... Yes, forget about it."

Lunar nodded and got up and ran off toward the horsetail and plucked it gently from the ground, then turned around and brought it back to Khora. "Here you go." She dropped it at Khora's paws.

She nodded. "Memorizing Herbs will be an imprtant part of being a healer. So pay close attention." She looked at Rowan. "I'm going to need you to lay down." She then chewed the Horsetail into a pulp. "And eat this."

Lunar got a good look at the plant before it was turned into a pulp. Then she asked Khora, "What does Horsetail do?"

Khora thought for a moment to fully remember its uses. "Good for eyes, ears, nose, throat and fractures because of the Silica in it. The silica binds the broken and torn fibers together again."
