Raffiel lashed out, fangs and claws digging deep into Dodge's side. He pulled and pulled to get him off lunar. Fury had swept through him like a wildfire, and he raked his claws down Dodge's flank.

Lunar yelped as Dodge's fangs dug deep into the side of her neck. Dodge finally let go and spun around on Raffiel, kicking at his face. He snapped his jaws down on the younger male's right ear, biting as tight as he could and began to pull, shaking his head around at the same time. The taste of blood filled his jaws. Lunar growled and bit onto Dodge's back leg, only to be kicked off. But she got back up and bit his leg again.

Raffiel yelped, and tried to free himself from the bite. But then he saw Dodge's throat was exposed! In a quick attempt and an ignoring of the pain in his ear, he lunged and planted his fangs on the jugular. "Give up." He growled through the fur, he applied light pressure to Dodge's life line.

Xylon cried out, "Stop! Stop it!" He was pulling on Raffiel's tail. Lunar leg to of Dodge's leg. Dodge went silent. Then looked straight into Raffiel's eye, letting go of the wolf's ear, and said, "Kill me."

Raffiel hesitated, the little pup's cries for help reminded him of when his parents had fought and his father had held his mother in this very position and said the very same thing. He let go, and pulled back. "I'm not leaving the pup alone." He said, spitting out Dodge's fur.

Dodge growled low. "You got a lucky bite. Don't feel too proud. Obviously you weren't brave enough to kill me." Xylon moved over to stand between his father and the two other wolves. He was licking at his father's wounds. Dodge watched Raffiel mockingly, "I killed my own father, and you can't even take the life of a stranger. Pity." Dodge picked up Xylon and started walking away. When Dodge turned away, Lunar rushed to Raffiel's side and looked at his ear, whispering as she examined it, "Stay still."

Raffiel snarled, his pelt bristling with a frustrated rage. "Kill a stranger! Oh I can do that any day! But kill one with a pup. I'm no monster. And maybe you shouldn't risk your life, because if I wasn't that kind of wolf then you'd be dead and your pup an orphan." He spat at Dodge.

Lunar's ears flicked back on her head, "Raffiel..." Dodge flicked his tail sharply as he kept walking. He had been around his kind before. Dodge couldn't count the amount of time he had someone bite his neck just like that, only to let go and send him away. Almost as if he was searching for someone who would willingly kill him. Just be find someone who he could feel was more heartless than himself. If one wolf would just bite down and refuse to let go, he would know for the last few seconds of his life that he was better than that wolf. Lunar whispered gently, "Raffiel, your ear.." There was a tear down each side where Dodge's fangs were.

Raffiel's anger simmered down to a low boil, but he was calm enough then to look at Lunar with no anger towards her. "Wonderful..." He muttered, and knew Khora would give him an earful back at the den and then fuss over his tear.

Raffiel's ear twitched,and as if to confirm it, a pang shot through Raffiel's head, causing him to whimper. He looked at the poppy seeds they had collected. "These help with pain right?" He asked Lunar, an idea in his head.

"Yes. But if you take some, just don't take too much. I can't take you back to the den with you all loopy. Khora would kill me." Lunar answered.

Raffiel chuckled lightly, and lapped up a few seeds. He waited a moment, and then felt his mind numb slightly. The pain in his ear subsided and he gave her a foolish grin. "OK!"

Lunar shook her head, but could help but smile a little. "Please don't get me in trouble with Khora. After all, she is your mother... And my teacher... I don't think either of us would go for long without being in huge trouble if you went back to the den all loopy." She turned to picked up the seeds, then turned back to Raffiel and added, "Please just, try to act perfectly normal." She licked his muzzle then started scooping poppy seeds into her mouth to carry back to the den.

Raffiel grinned foolishly again and followed after her, yelling out. "I LOVE LUNAR!" As he went. In all honest he wasn't loopy, heck he was tired. He just wanted to mess with Lunar for a bit, and it seemed to be working.

Lunar was laughing quietly while she tried to get him to quiet down, "Shhh."

Raffiel made a silly face at Lunar. "Why?" He laughed, licking her face sweetly and of course, in a silly manner.

"Because you're going to attract the attention of every animal in the forest." Lunar stressed the subject. She nudge him and repeated, still sort of laughing, "So, shhhhh."

Ayalilla's pups rush in, playing and hopping about. They are lost but don't really know that. Aspen trots off away form the others to investigate a strange smell...
Granite is tackled by Ginger and Lilly at the same time. Ginger growls at Lilly, then pushes her over. Granite surprise attacks her when she is distracted. The three pups play on by themselves, hardly noticing that Aspen is gone.

(dems be some dead puppies SPPPOOOOOOOOOILLLLLLLLLLLLEEERRRRSSSSSS!)

Lunar noticed the pups playing as she was walking by, just out of the youngsters view. She giggled at their playfulness, and kept on walking.

Aspen stumbled around in the darkness. It smelled funny and felt odd to his paws. Where was he? Where were his siblings? Had they fallen as well?

Lunar tripped clumsily over a stone, catching her footing before she crashed to the ground, then looked around startled. She spotted the stone and shot a dangerous glare at it.

Aspen stumbled on, unknowingly going deeper underground. He felt his ears popping every few minutes.

The pups finally got tired, and fell asleep in a huddle. Lilly noticed Aspen was gone right before she fell asleep, but thought he was probably keeping watch for danger. He was always taking care of her. She fell asleep smiling
