"The killing part, that I can believe." Petra stated. "The same happened here except after I sniffed that stuff, Athens put me in her version of an interrogation room. She tortured me so it was kind of hard to get her to trust me."

Athens glowered at Pantera. "A grudge? Oh you know its so much more then a grudge!" She snarled, her armor began pulsing as it tried to vent out the rising heat. "I hate you with every bit of my body. I hate all of your kind! But I especially hate you!" Athens screamed, her fury at simply the sight of Pantera boiled. But now she was in her territory and telling her to stop. The nerve! The plating around her hands moved back, revealing her soft and scared hands. "You did this to me!" Athens growled out, her guards were surrounding them, taking Kendel prisoner.

Kendel grunted as his hands were soon put in cuffs. Then he was having guns and swords into his sides and back. "You should all really learn how to take a prisioner."

Petra nodded. "Yeah. With a stun gun." Petra started looking around quickly at all of the guards. "Damn." she muttered under her breath.

Pantera looked around at all of the guards and then back at Athens. "Please tell all of your guards that if they do not stand down, they will all die."

Sam's face remained emotionless, like it usually was, but her eyes were cold and distant. She glanced at the guards, but stayed where she was.

"Hey Sam," Petra started. Her voice was now small, almost fearfull, unlike her usually happy, confident tone. "Do you think we will survive this?"

"Of course. Why wouldn't we?" Sam was calm, keeping her voice flat and her posture unreadable.

"I-I don't know. I guess I'm just worried." Petra looked up at Sam with tears starting to form in her eyes.

"We'll be fine," she said firmly, but remained quiet so the others wouldn't hear what was being said. "Trust me. You'll survive this if it's the last thing I do. Stop with the tears. It makes you look weak."

Petra started blushing very hard and didn't talk for a second. "I-I'm not worried about myself. To be honest..." Petra toned herself down to a whisper. "I'm worried about you." she said looking up at Sam to see what her reaction would be.

Sam didn't think nothing of what Petra said. They were partners, so of course they'd be worried about one another. Sam responded with simply, "I'll be fine."

She didn't notice. Should I be happy or upset about it? I wanted her to know, but... What would she think of me? What would she do if she did find out. Petra was having a raging conflict within herself. Her emotions splayed across her face unbeknownst to herself.

"Are you okay?" she questioned. Sam shot a dangerous glare at a guard who stepped too close.

Petra noticed the guard as well. The only difference was her emotions were flowing out of her like water. She immediately sent a solid (yes solid) spear of fire through the guard's armor and then through him.

Sam was irritated now. Why the hell would Petra do that? Was she trying to get them killed?! Sam stepped back, bracing herself for anything the other guards might do as a reaction.

"Really now?" Athens chuckled darkly. "I've got an army to fight you, and all you have is what. Yourself? A few spies who'se loyalty is of question and some person who dared have the gall to attack me." Her voice tightened as she spoke, rage flooding her body once again. Athens get a grip! Calm the heck down and slow down! A voice in her head screamed at her. You're to pissed to think straight! You're gonna do something stupid and get yourself hurt or worse! Athens growled, ignoring the mental warning. It felt nice to be so filled; her rage made her feel alive. "Fine you want to do this with my help? Just us. You and me." Athens called out, trying to reign in just enough to not kill her own people as well. The guards were about to swarm Sam and Petra, but were keeping back till Athens ordered.

"If this is the way you wish to have it, then so be it Athens. But, I am warning you now, I am NOT going to go easy on you." Pantera lit both hands on fire. Pantera narrowed her eyes. She spoke to the guards around her, "If you even try to hurt these three Technomages, you WILL ALL die." Then the flames in her hands turned black. "I hope you're ready for this, Athens." The fire in her hands started raging and a large black swirl of fire shot skyward, enclosing herself and Athens from the others. This swirling wall of black fire was about twice as tall as Petra's was and close to 1,000 times hotter. "Let's begin." Pantera ran at Athens and started throwing fire at her.

All of a sudden, all of the meat turned edible. A typed card appeared next to the head. It read: "Report to the Tower."

Athens chuckled, "You think I've not learned from our encounter?" Instantly the sensors of her suit picked up the approaching heat and amped up the fire restistance levels. It diverted from the other elemental resistance fields but fire was what was needed. The flames sizzled around her, a small energy field causing them to bend around her and then fade away. Athens could still feel some of the heat though, and instantly she broke out into a sweat across the brow. Her breath labored a bit, but soon the internal coolers kicked up as well and she was fine. The technician dashed forward, a blade still in hand, and swiped at Pantera several times, ducking under the raging fire.

Pantera went on the defensive, dodging each attack. "I see you upgraded your armor. However, have you upgraded your mental state and ability to fight under pressure?" Pantera prodded at Athens' anger issues. Pantera pulled out a dagger and jumped back. She lit the dagger with the black flame, the dagger giving the flame more mass and shape.

"I can fight far better then you! And at least I don't trust the randomest of strangers!" Athens didn't realize what she was doing, and dodged the dagger with ease. Then with a skilled swoop, she took out her feet and lunged forward with her blade. There was a hissing sound from her armor as it whized past the fire at the speed she moved. Athens screamed with fury as she attacked.

Pantera fell hard. She rolled quickly out of the way of Athens' strikes. She threw a ball of black fire upwards, connecting with the center of the armor, knocking Athens back a bit. Pantera took advantage and got some distance between each other. If she was to have a chance, she was going to have to keep this a long distance fight.

Growling with anger, Athens closed the distance between them once again. "What's this? Don't like up close and personal?" Athens taunted, her blade dashing at Pantera. "You seemed to have liked up close and personal when you gave me those scars!" Her blue eyes were clouded with her anger as she attack, but the helmet protected her emotions from showing all the way. If Pantera thought she was just talking angry she would still have an advantage. Calm down Athens! That voice ordered again, but still she ignored it.

Pantera continued keeping her distance from Athens. "Yeah I gave you those scars. Come to think of it, I only used my blue flame for that. Wonder what my black flame would do?" Pantera teased. If she could get Athens mad enough, it might be enough to block her judgement.
