As Echo began to leave with Rowan, he realized that Lunar wasn't by their side. "Hey Lunar, are you coming?"

Lunar shook her head, "No. I should probably stay..."

Looking back at Khora, he nodded his head in understanding and continued on his way with Rowan.

"Ill bring some for you and Khora later," he barked and stood up.

"So Rowan," Echo started, "What is your relationship with Lunar?"

Rowan was taken aback by Echo's question. "She's just my friend. Just be careful when Raffiel is around."

Echo saw Rowan's expression and opened his eyes wide and quickly started shaking his head. "No no no, I'm not interested in her in that way! Honestly, she is just a friend."

Rowan smiled as he ripped a leg off and tossed it to Echo. "Eat up."

Echo smiled back. "Thanks! Don't mind if I do!" He then dug in as though it were the first time he had ever eaten.

"Easy there, you might eat you paw off before you know it." Rowan joked as he took a chunk out and sat beside Echo.

Echo just about choked on the meat on his mouth form laughing at the joke. "Sorry. I'm just so hungry. It really sucks going for days at a time without food."

"Don't you know how to hunt?" Rowan felt the fur along his spine tickle.

Echo wasn't expecting this question. He tensed up and regained the hate, the anger, the sadness he felt earlier. "I can but... I was, so focused on getting away from my old packs territory that I just didn't think about it," he answered in a low voice.

Khora didn't say anything as Rowan stole Echo away from her. She looked at Lunar, and then made a gesture for her to come over. "I need you to go get me a special herb from my stores." The mentor said to her apprentice. "The stench will help you find it, but the taste is very sweet. I need it very soon." Khora then swept the poultices they had finished making and applied them to the wolf's wounds. "Thank you Khora..." Erebus whispered, his eyes flickering open and shut. "Sshhh, stay silent Erebus. You need to save your strength." The brown she-wolf's eyes flashed with a gentleness she didn't often use. "Besides, its what a healer is for."

Lunar nodded and hurried off to find it, sniffing around. She wrinkled her nose at the smell and quickly picked up the herb, rushing it back to Khora obediently.

Khora took the herb with a nod of thanks and then nudged it towards Erebus. "Eat it, and I promise you'll feel better." She whispered, trying to encourage him. Erebus blinked, and then wrinkled his nose at the smell. "It tastes better then it smells I hope..." The weak wolf made a bit of a joke. With a small chuckle Khora responded in kind, "Yes it does, now eat." Without anymore hesitation, Erebus chewed the plant, murmuring at the sweet taste, and then swallowed. "Good," Said Khora, who then turned to Lunar. "Help me get him somewhere clean, and cool. A part of the den should suffice."

Lunar nodded and did as she was told, going to one side of Erebus. She knelt down and tucked a part of herself under him, trying to lift. Her eyes widened and she spoke, as if she couldn't breath, "He's heavy!"

"That's because he's lost almost all his strength, he can't stand on his own anymore. Something he might have managed if you'd tended to him sooner." Khora growled over at Lunar, doing the same to lift him considering his torn scruff. "Can you help us any Erebus? We need to get you somewhere better." She whispered into his ear, and he responded by shuffling his feet to stand only slightly.

Lunar tried her best to ignore the comment she had gotten from her mentor. She started moving Erebus toward the den slowly, but surely.

Khora grunted as they moved him, and soon the mouth of the den was only a few feet away. But just as they reached it, Erebus tripped, and fell with a squishy sound as he hit the ground. "Erebus!" The she-wolf gasped, stumbling to check him over. None of the wounds had reopened, but he had been knocked unconsious. "Lunar! Did you even watch where you stepped!?" She growled at her student, instantly placing the blame on the younger she-wolf.

Lunar looked at Khora in disbelief. "It's not my fault!" Her head lowered slightly and her ears pinned back on her head.

"I know I most certainly didn't trip, nor did I lose my spot to hold him up!" Khora growled back, her size overbearing the younger wolf.

"I was only doing as you asked me to!" Lunar said defensively.

Khora snarled. "Oh really? What about what I taught you to!" Her tone became dark and serious. "Go get Erebus water, and quickly pup." She ordered, turning her back on Lunar and pushing Erebus into the den all the way.

Lunar kept her head down and hurried off to do as she was told.
