Erebus cringed at the pain but nodded weakly. "I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." He responded, "Please hurry." Dark splotches filled the edges of his sight.

Lunar got back to the den and walked over to a tree, laying down under it silently, thinking about what Dodge had told her.

An unknown wolf walked up to Lunar as she was laying under a tree. "Excuse me, but might there be a pack around here? I am looking for a new home," said the unknown wolf.

Lunar perked her ears up and sat up quickly. "Yes, actually. You're right in the center of our territory." She watched the stranger wolf cautiously.

"Wonderful!" the wolf replied giddily. He then gives a slight bow and says,"I am sorry for my rudeness. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Echo."

Lunar's tail wagged a little and she introduced, "I am Lunar. It's nice to meet you."

"As it is you," he replied. "Might there be any chance that there is an open spot in the pack for me?" he asked with hope evident in his voice.

Lunar smiled and spoke quietly, "There should be, but, you'd have to speak with one of the older wolves. Like my mom, Jay. Or Khora, the pack healer. It's not my place in the pack to let you in."

"I understand," he said, "so might you be able to lead me to one of your elder wolves, possibly Khora? I am actually intersted in becoming a healer myself."

Lunar nodded and explained, "I'll go get her from the den, but she just recently had a litter of pups, so she might be tired."

He looks down on thought. "I see. I wouldn't want to bother her if she is too tired from giving birth. I would like to be able to talk to her however only if she is up to it. If she isn't, might there be anywhere I could stay until she is rested enough to see me?"

"I'm sure we can find somewhere," Lunar smiled. "I'll go talk to her." She turned away and quickly padded toward the den, disappearing into it. She looked at Khora and lowered her head, nudging her shoulder carefully. "Khora? You awake?"

Echo sat down under the same tree that Lunar was just previously under, anxiously awaiting the return of Lunar and possibly the wolf he wanted to talk to, Khora.

Khora blinked her eyes with tiredness. "What?" She murmered, and then at the frantic shouts of the wolf Bo-Bo outside, she bolted upright. "Lunar, what's happened?" She demanded, worry filling her weak voice. Without waiting for her to respond, Khora dashed out of the den, leaving her pups whimpering in confusion. With careful eyes, Khora scanned the area until she spotted Erebus, bleeding and wounded across the clearing. "EREBUS!" She shouted, dashing over the best she could.

Lunar frowned slightly, but followed after Khora. "There was a bit of a... Fight."

The healer stopped in her tracks. "What... kind of fight?" She growled, knowing full well that Lunar knew exactly what had happened and was holding back from her. "Lunar, tell me the truth. Now!"

Echo walked up next to the two. "I am sorry but I heard screaming. Is there something wrong?

The angered healer swiveled her head, and stared at the new wolf with confusion. She took in the adult male's looks and kind gaze and was quickly intrigued. However that soon turned to caution as the image of her pups filled her head. "Who are you?" She barked, trying not to sound to untrusting.

Lunar lowered her head and pinned her ears to the top of her head, looking down. Guilt crept up inside her. "It wasn't suppose... It.. We didn't mean for him to really get hurt," she said quietly, stumbling over her words. She glanced at Echo, then looked down again.

Alarm flared Khora at Lunar's words. "You... You didn't do anything about it! Where's the cobwebs? Leaves maybe? I see no poultice! I know I've trained you well enough to tend to any flesh wound!" Khora's rage burned forward, and then she dashed away to Erebus's side, taking in the damage with fearful eyes. "If you wait to long, the wounds can become infected, he could bleed out, become permanently crippled!"

Lunar, getting a sudden burst of courage, growled at her mentor, "Good! He deserves to be crippled for what he did to Raffiel! You know, your son?!"

Khora snarled, frustration and sleepiness wearing at her. "We'll talk about that later! Go get me the right herbs. If you even know which ones that would be!" She then looked at Echo, her voice far more gentle. "If you want to talk, I need your help. Please find me some cobwebs."

Now hurt, Lunar scowled and hurried off to get the herbs. Her tail flicked angrily.
