Zombie Apocalypse

Athena managed to scramble down and her feet settled on the metal train tracks. She scanned the area quickly, still only one or two zombies. "We've still got time. Hurry it up." She called out.

Dyven jumoed down and watched as Ashlynn lifted the rope and slammed it back down. The hook came undone and hit the ground.She rolled it up and stashed it away. She fallowed the others.

Spring started hurrying down the tracks, her backpack over her shoulder as she jogged along. Breaking out in a full sprint at first would only tire her out and she wouldn't get far. Every 10 yards or so, she would go faster.

Athena looked at them. "Come on!" She said with a short bit of panic. It won't be long before they've picked up out scent! Fear shot through her body. Turning her blood cold, she thought she could hear the sounds of groans below their feet, but soon dismissed it as fear.

Spring kept running.

The man came up to an outer street of the city. Cars were scattered around on the streets and some doors had been left open. He stumbled onto the street and began to follow it. It was oddly quiet for a city. It sure wasn't the city that he had known long ago, anymore.

Athena started to catch up with Spring, only to be stopped by a wave of coughs. Muttering a curse or two, she straightened up, face flushed and palms sweaty. The young principal started after Spring again.

Spring went faster now. She was determined to get there as fast as possible. Her breath was still steady as she ran along, looking around her occasionally.

The man tripped over a car tire and fell hard onto the road. He rolled over onto his back, looked at the sky. His vision began getting blurry as his body was starting to get weaker from the loss in blood.

She had to stop. As much as she wanted to motivate the others to keep moving, she was outta breath. Her whole body was on fire with.... with something! Athena grabbed her throat, as if she needed water.

Spring turned around and jogged back over to Athena. "Come on, Athena. We can't stop now," She stressed the subject.

Athena looked up at her. "I know, I know." She said, straightening up and then coughing again. "Sorry."

"We need to hurry. Come on," Spring said, then started running again.

Athena looked up and gave her a wistful look, "How does she do it?" The coughing lady muttered, stifling another wave of hoarse coughs. She started after Spring with already heavy feet.

Athena caught up to Spring and looked at the zombies with anger. She quickly tugged the tommy gun off from her back and had it ready to fire. Not wanting to draw any more zombies over with the loud sounds of gunfire.

Athena glared at the zombies very closely, and then decided to change to her switchblade. She strapped the gun onto her back again, hanging it by the sling, and pulled out the switchblade. "Best not to attract any others." She said to Spring before charging the first zombie that was closest. It gurgled at her, green arms reaching over to grasp her. With a swift twist of the wrist, she stabbed the blade into its arm.

Spring saw a zombie coming toward her and she started to stumble backwards. She had no weapons. Not even a blade. Looking around panicked, she spotted a nicely sized stone and picked it up, then slammed it against the track, breaking it in half, the she quickly hit it again and it broke into a sharp point. As it was about to grab her, Spring drove the sharp rock into the zombie's head.


The man heard a noise that sounded like a tired moan. He looked around and saw something walking oddly toward him. Confused about where he was and what was going on, he scooted himself under a low car and waited silently for the thing to leave.

Athena's eyes burned, more of their putrid breath was being breathed right into her face. This time though, she was holding her mouth shut. Kicking it back, she managed to get the blade out from the sickly stiff zombie arm and attacked another. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Spring fighting a zombie with an improvised rock blade. Gotta give her props for that. She thought. Athena distracted, a zombie took its chance and lunged at her from behind...

Athena blinked, first in shock and then in gratitude. "Thanks!" She called out, giving Spring a quick smile before turning on a zombie. She kicked it back, making it stumble off the tracks with a sick thud at the end. Turning, Athena spotted maybe three more up ahead, but a wave of weariness hit her so hard she nearly fell to her knees.

Casey peered once more around the corner. The other zombies had folowed her... And mobbed the people. They were good fighters. Looked very experienced. Maybe they had seen Jenny. She walked hesitantly out into the open, and held up her hands. She felt like her normal self... Just... Less human... Less normal... "Sor- Sorry for them... Seen Jenny? Friend Jenny?" she managed to say. Her brain and vocal cords hadn't been working to well. "Am- Am deeeaad?" she gazed fearfully at the people, one of her hands dropped and started to fiddle with one of her mace's handles..

Spring grabbed Athena's arm and started running toward the last few zombies. It wouldn't be so hard to try and get around them, would it? At least it didn't seem so in her mind.

The thing started walking in the opposite direction, and the man put his head down on the road under the car he was currently laying under. He was exhausted, even if he didn't walk very far. His shirt stuck to the half dried wound on his side.
