Star Treck

A swish was heard as the captain strode into the room. She walked up the steps to her seat as captain. She stood there as everyone got up. Her red hair was very out of place for a Volcan or Romulan. Her blue eyes too. She looked over her ship, crew, and friends.

Spock stood as soon as he heard the doors open. "Captain Falti," he adressed the recruits.

"At ease. All systems ready?"

A burst of yes's came forward. She sat down. "Plan course to Romulus, warp five," she commanded.

T'Pol stood as the captain came in, at her 'at ease' she sat back down, and felt her right foot shaking with anticipation at her words.

The engines flared, a shake took hold of the whole ship as it was freed from the docking clamps of Jupiter station. Enterprise was making it maiden voyage towards Romulus, and after floating forward with impulse. It suddenly leapt into the void between light and sound, warp speed. T'Pol couldn't stop a small smile from crossing her lips, but quickly wiped it off.

Down in Sickbay, Phlox was dancing. Jumping about with glee at the fact that they were off, the actual leap into warp however, jerked him backwards and he crashed into one of the beds for ill to rest on. "Hmm... Back to work." He said startled and felt his cheeks expand slightly.

Falti Sat in the large chair with cousions on the inside of it. She thought it logical if the races that wanted to be a commanding officer come to her. She looked at the crew members working.

Sopck sat back down and started monitering the engines, and other mechanics. He looked over at T'Pol and caught himself. He looked back on his screen. Doing the math in his head, he calculated that they would reach Romulus in five minutes. "Captain, if my calculations are correct, we should reach Romulus in about 4 minutes 56 seconds."

T'Pol was amazed at the speed of which a human vessel could navigate and move, but sense the Vulcan and Romulans had started pouring more research into their space program, they had improved vastly. She nodded, "And it seems they've already go a welcoming committee set up." She said. "I'm picking up a fleet of Romulan cruisers, standard class."

Falti tensed a bit. "Drop out of warp, raise minimal sheild," she comanded.

"That is an illogical choise," he cut in, "Raising sheilds would look like we were here to fight. All we need is a plant for Phlox. Raise sheilds afterwards if they target us." He stood in the middle of his sentance.

While T'Pol would hate to criticize the Captain less then ten minutes into their first voyage. She had to admit Spock was right. "It would be a wise choice. Tension with Romulans have increased lately due to the disagreements on certain ship designs.

Falti stood up out raged. Her Romulan side was showing. "Luetenant Spock—" she began only to be cut off by Spock.

"Captain, all I'm saying is that we don't need to fight with them first off. We have a better ship and if they win then they will kill us," his annoyance was slightly showing.

Falti ignored the two other Vulcans and left the sheilds up. As they dropped out of warp, the ship came out of the void between time and space, to float forward at a normal pace. The ship jerked a bit. "Hail the lead ship."

A Do-Doop sound filled the bridge and then the forward observation window became a screen. "Identify yourself." A voice with a deep side demanded of the Starfleet vessel. T'Pol looked at Spock, hoping they wouldn't be attacked already.

Falti stood up and walked down to the lower floor. "I'm Falti, captain of the U.S.S Enterprise. Who am I speaking to?" she held onto confidence.

Spock stepped up to be beside the captain but stopped at T'Pol. He placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder and took a step away towards the captain. I faintly remember her from childhood. he thought for a moment then back to the screen. His body was sideways facing a little toward T'Pol and looking at the screen.

T'Pol fought the alarming sensation of her body tensing at the sudden presence of his hand. She managed to do that much and watched the screen with attentive brown eyes. But on occasion her eyes would turn to Spock and she would wonder why he was positioned so oddly.

The Romulan laughed, "Kiado, captain of the Tunjayala. What bring you to Romulan space half-blood." He jested at her, already able to tell what she was mixed with. T'Pol blinked.

Falti tensed more and anger was slightly noticeable. "Starfleet sent a call to you. Our medical officer needs supplies that he could not get when we left," she took a step colser to the window screen.

Spock straightened up. Only this time he stood like a normal human. feet beneath him and arms down by his side. He raised his head in anticipation for the answer. Looking at the weapons officer, Lt. Draspo. His head spun with countless outcomes and battle tactics.

The Romulan frowned, and then began talking to someone that was not in the screen. "I see, yes here it is." He was talking about the call. "We'll bring a cargo ship to your vessel with the needed supplies, but I must request you remain here." For some reason he didn't want them to actually enter in the Romulan space, and T'Pol found it odd. Usually their cousin race was more welcoming of Vulcans and there own kind. Perhaps the disagreement with them over space design wasn't the only thing wrong?

Kiamsc had forgotten to turn her hearing back on and was still standing. She looked sideways and noticed everyone else was sitting. She took a sharp intake of breath and sat down, making sure to turn her hearing on again.

Doctor Phlox pressed the com panel. "Captain, some of the ingredients I need I must see first. Not all of the leaves of some of the plants I seek can be as beneficial as we all would like. We must get them ourselves."

"Aknowledged," she returned back to Kiado, "Our doctor requests to see the plants himself. We can beam him aboard with a few escorts." She flicked her hair back over her shoulder. She knew something wasn't right. Did the fleet do something to tare the treaty between Romulus and Vulcan?

Spock stepped up to Falti. "Captain concider what would happen. Logically they would accept and you sending in the recruits would kill everyone." He made a simulation like this back at the Starfleet Academy. Watching her fail twice, he doubted that she would make the right choise.

T'Pol carefully tried to think of the different ways this could go right or wrong. It was difficult, for Romulans were more close to their emotions then Vulcans, and they could make irrational choices no Vulcan or even Human would make. "Perhaps if we make a ground of equal agreement, dock ships and meet in the airlock." She proposed. "Equal ground and the Doctor can see the plants first hand."

"T'Pol's theroy is a wise one. We can put a few crew members on the transporter dock incase something goes wrong." He nodded at T'Pol.

T'Pol gave Spock a grateful blink, and dip of her head. "Captain..." She waited for the hybrid's response.

"That sounds great to me!" Phlox's voice was suddenly heard once again. "Sorry I forgot to turn of the transmitter." He added afterwards.

Falti nodded and exited the screen back to the veiw window. "Get launch bay five ready. Doctor, get your supplies that you need," she walked back to her chair. She dug her nails into the coushions. Eight years, to be called a half breed! "Spock, T'Pol," she called to the other two vulcans, "Get ready to beam aboard if nessasary."

Spock nodded and walked off the bridge. He watched as the doors swished open as he waited for T'Pol. He stood in his stance.

"Aye Captain." Phlox replied and walked to the Turbolift down the hall from the medbay. He walked right up to the airlock and waited with a smile. In his eyes, optimism was generally a good way to improve relations.

T'Pol walked into the small carrier and stood with some reasonable distance between her and Spock. She had heard rumors that he was a hybrid as well. Human and Vulcan as they said. From the comment from the Romulan towards their captain she had to wonder. But now was not the time for just discussion.

Spock got off on level three. He strode to his room. He looked around, grabbed his phaser. A click told him it was set on stun. He picked up a picture of his mother and looked at it. She was human, his father was Vulcan. "You father is a traitor!" one kid would call out. They taunted him. His anger would over take him, and would beat the leader senseless. "Spock!" his father would call and talk later. "Decide your future," he would tell him.

T'Pol walked towards the airlock where Phlox was already waiting. She was highly trained in close quarter combat, and the airlock was defiantly close combat. She did have a phaser on her belt just in case though. She ran a few known pressure points on Romulans through her head, where exactly to perform the famed Vulcan nerve pinch on the Vulcan cousins. While she hoped this would end peacefully, it was always illogical to not be prepared for the worst.

Spock walked out of the room. He walked to the airlock. He stopped as he saw T'Pol and Phlox. He didn't want to intrude.

Falti Stood up worried.

(YEESH! SO MANY TYPOS! My "G" key is a bit sticky and isn't working. My idiot brother was eating and using my computer again T^T There was BBQ sauce on most of the keys.)

"C'mon man! We could be totally famous! And et an honor award or something. Let's go!" she whispered. He finally smiled and agreed. Kiamsc smiled back and raised her hand. "I need to use the restroom... May I be excused?" she asked one of the officers (Can ensigns do that? XD) She got permission and went to the turbo lift. As soon as the door closed she said "Computer. Where is the captain?" The computer told her and she told it where to take her.
