Star Treck

T'Pol was skeptical. Yes, Spock had mind melded with one of them. But still. "You're certain this works?" She asked one of them, receiving a rolling of the eyes. "Captain?" She asked, turning towards Falti.

"We see. If they lied then we will alert Starfleet using the pod." She clicked the helmet on and dove in. Tuvok fallowed and the creatures fallwed them. Spock looked at his significant other and then dove after.

T'Pol grimaced, still in doubt, but suited up and followed after. Phlox stared, not certain if he should go as well or not. "No I have to look at the wounded." He said, and started off to where the injured were being kept.

The water was very clear and the lights on the suit helped. Falti was amazed at the bright city. She came to the entrance and waited for the others. Tuvok entered after the creatures. Spock joined them and stood in the tiny room.

T'Pol was the last to enter. She had to admit, she was impressed.

As the door closed the room was emptied of water and they opened the next one. bustling city and mostly technology.

T'Pol couldn't stop the slight look of awe that crossed her face, eyebrows lifting and eyes growing wider. She turned to the creature, having no other name to call it. "What are your people called?"

"Aren't you curious...?" Malik asked Kiamsc.
"Nah, it's probably not anything better than what I've seen before. Not by much, anyway."
"You're the one who's insane! EVen more than me..."
"I'm not insane, just stupid."
"I see! That's why..."
"What do you mean that's why?"
"Oh, nothing..."
"TELL ME!"
"Nope, it's nothing important..."
"TELL ME WHAT YOU MEAN!!!!!!!!"
"Nope."

Spock looked at the creature. He saw the skin hadn't changed much. It looked human but still had the mucus on it. The eyes were big, black and glassy.

"We are called Granops," the one replied.

Kiamsc continued nagging Malik and he kept refusing...

T'Pol nodded. "How did you build this?" She wondered, her voice peeked with curiosity though she held it within to a low amount of emotion.

The Granop looked at her. "Romulans tried to take over the planet. We raised sheilds and watched as the ground beneath the city started cumble. We sunk to the bottom of this cave lake. Over a course of time we adapted to the water around us," it rambled on.

Tuvok listened with intrest. No thoughts crossed his mind.

Spock listened while watching the others.

Malik sits down on the floor of the main cave, and starts sharpening the one sword, and many other bladed weapons that he hides in his coat. He tried his best to ignore the shapeshifter, but found it very hard. "OH FINE! SHUT UP AN I'LL TELL YOU!"
"Really!?"
"YES! Now lean close so I can tell you in private."
She studied his face, and he looked pretty serious. "Fine." she leaned over, and cupped her hand around her ear. Malik spoke into her ear "You... Are.. an..." he stopped for suspense, then yelled "IDIOT!" He sat up straight, grinning. "Why would I tell you in secret? It's not important. You already know about it, because you have the feeling every day. It's just loneliness. Nothing too bad... But it can be a real pain sometimes!"

T'Pol held back an eye roll. "I'm not surprised. Romulans are prone to such actions." She remarked and then tightened as she remembered her captain was half Romulan. "Of course, Vulcans are subject to foolish decisions as well..." She drifted off, kicking herself mentally for fumbling with her words.

(lol! I thought "Granop" was "Grandpop" and I was thinking "Who in the world made a grandpa? How did I not notice that before?)

Kiamsc blushed. "I-I'm not lonely!" she snapped at Malik. "Just bored!" she shook her head quickly. "Very bored! Oh, you mortals and you're silly emotions! Stop messing around with me!"
Malik sighed, and picked the little girl up. "Even if you do have super powers, anything that can move and interact and all that other stuff has feelings." he moved to a rock, and put Kiamsc on his knee. "And I also know that anything 'alive' can probably break it's neck if it nods like that for more than three seconds!" he put a hand on her head to stop the nodding. "Now, quit that! It's annoying." Kiamsc stopped nodding, and hopped off his knee. She crossed he arms, and stuck her tongue out at him.
"You're right. I am lonely. But once I tried to make friends! I really tried! But they started to freak out when they found out what kind of things I could do! And once I had a friend who was like me, but they were very old and died. So I don't get very close to people." Malik snorted at that. "Typical sob story for something that lives for a very long time, or ages slowly. I once had a friend that died before me because that friend was a housefly and only lived two hours after I met him! That was on Earth... Good old Earth."

Phlox bent down next to some of the injured crew. "Drink this." He said, holding out a canteen of water for one. She took it with some difficulty, but drank with with a deep hunger. Fear settled in the doctor's gut. The condition of many were getting worse quickly.

Kiamsc sighed sadly. "Such horrid stories. The universe is cruel."
Malik sighed as well "Very cruel... But things have to die eventually. I mean, imagine if things didn't die. If they couldn't. Everyone would be starving because they couldn't kill things and get food. They couldn't die of the starvation, they'd just suffer and suffer... It would be horrible."

Phlox turned and then tried to mend the wound of another who had hit something on impact. But without the right medical tools, it was nearly impossible. So he had to try to squeeze the skin together and bandage wrap it with a part of her sleeve.

Kiamsc sniffles, and wipes her face on her arm. "I guess it's OK the way it is."
"Glad you realise that now!!" Malik smiles at her. "Now, I'm going to see if I can help Dr. Phlox over there. People might be a bit... Shocked..." He get up and starts to walk away.
"Um, Malik?" Kaimsc begins, but he's already to far to hear. "Never mind, forget it..." she turns into a parakeet and flies after him, landing on his head. "Your hair's so messy it could be a nest Malik!"
He ignores her, and taps Phlox on the shoulder.
"Ummm... Is there anyone I could help here? Anyone with... Problems." 0-o

Spock left the group and found the teleporters and radios the Granops had. He tried to radio the ship but nothing was working.

"PROBLEMS! ANYONE WITH PROBLEMS?" Kiamsc repeated loudly.
Malik face-palmed and asked silently "Anything more to say miss Parrot?"
"Nothing more, nothing more. BAWK!"
"Thank you. Now please keep quiet except for emergancies."

"Nothing?" T'Pol asked, walking up behind Spock. She gazed at the technology that was quite a marvel anywhere else. But down here, with all the other tech that Granops had. It didn't surprise her very much.

Phlox turned to them with disdain. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't wake my patients." He nearly snapped.

Spock shook his head. "They have all the modern stuff locked up," he began to walk way slowly. As he walked it looked like he was thinking. His hands held behind his back, stood straight, head facing forward.
