Zombie Apocalypse

Spring chuckled as she set her side down. "Lets hope not." She looked back at Dyven, "You coming, kid?"

The man was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt. The blood was crusted around the wound on his side as he stumbled through the forest. He saw the city in the distance and started moving faster.

Dyven would check his guns and make sure he still had them all. He always grabbed the straps of the backpack before he jumped.

Athena climbed up the box with some trouble, it was kinda tall, and then pulled herself onto the tracks. "Ok, I can help you up." She said to Dyven, and then heard something. The sound of footsteps from behind her. She spun around, and pulled out the switchblade. A zombie was running over. She kicked it, making it land on its back and jumped down to stab it. But it grabbed her, its rank breath flooding her nose and mouth. Then she finished it before it could bite her as it had started to try.

Casey was now a reasonable distance away from the building. It had blown up seconds ago. "Jenny..." she said sadly. "Are you still around somewhere?"

Dyven jumped from the box to the roof. "It's six in the afternoon," he looked up and the orange sky, "We need to find shelter."

Dyven spit at Spring. His anger was rising very quickly. He looked up as a building halway across town fell and screams were heard. "Finally!" he exclaimed silently.

Athena coughed again, limbs growing weak as she trudged along. She was almost regretting suggesting the green house roof top. It's so far! She complained internally. Though she kept a strong face, she was weak and fatigued. Can't wait for us to get there.... She turned at the sound of footsteps. There was a girl, with blonde hair and wide blue eyes. Freckles across the face, and she looked no older then ten. The girl was hunched down near the power cables that ran along the tracks. "Hold up guys..." Athena called out.

The first group of zombies came. There was four. She easily got the first one, two of them tried to sneak behind her and she knocked one's arm off. The third one was still quite a while away. She swung her mace again, this time knocking the one armed zombie down to the ground. Six more zombies had just come around a corner. She cursed loudly and angrily. "WHERE THE STARS DID YOU ALL COME FROM!? SERIOUSLY?" she started to walk backwards, then broke into a run. She didn't know where she was headed, just away. She started to yell "IF THERE'S ANY SURVIVORS, RUN LIKE HELL OR COME AND HELP ME! I HAVE ABOUT NINE ZOMBIES FOLLOWING MEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" she kept running in the random direction she had chosen, and yelled the same thing every few minutes...

Dyven sat as Ahena looked at the little girl. He reloaded all his guns and clips. He was weary but he wouldn't let it show. "Careful," he moistened his lips but rolling them in and sticking his tounge out a bit, "She could be a zombie. Try to find skin."

Spring looked at the blonde girl for a moment and called out to her, "Hello?"

Dyven tossed her a chunk of bread. He waited to see the skin, the eyes, any sign.

The girl looked at the bread, Athena was heading their advice and being careful with how close she got. It made a sound, like coughing. Then grabbed the bread and sniffed it. The skin was covered in dirt, which was to be expected. But as it opened it mouth Athena screamed, and shot the thing. Its jaw had split and the teeth were all fangs. Blood oozed out of the side of its head as it fell flat on the ground and Athena took a few deep breaths. "I'm going to have nightmares for weeks if I make it that long!"

Spring looked shocked as she started backing away quickly. "I'm out of here!" She shouted and took off in a dead sprint for the building that had the green house.

Dyven fell backwards. "I haven't seen one of those things scince i found you guys! There are worse things out there though." He walked around the barrel and turned the thing over. "Thank god it wasnt bigger," he turned to Athena, "you would have been dead."

Casey kept running until she saw some people. She started to call out, but heard a loud scream and a shot that covered her words. They had just shot another person... Casey's eyes widened in horror, and she started to run away "YOU SICK WEIRDOS!" she yelled behind her, and noticed some of the things following her had left. "Hey... I'm down to 5! Yaaaaaaaaaaay! Well... Not yay. But better than before."

Dyven Fallowed Spring at a jog. He stayed back with Athena. "Come on," he panted. When he reached Sprimg he unpacked his tarp and made a lean to off the rectangular brick chimney. He lwid huge rocks on the bottom and put the packs in the back. "I'll keep watch.

Athena caught up with ragged breathes, "We can't, I just saw a swarm of them. Seems like my gun shot attracted them or something. Maybe we can climb to that terrace?" She pointed, it wasn't the safehouse like she had hoped but it was something. Up off the ground, and away from most. They could climb that fire escape and then cross with a bit of luck none of them would fall in the attempt.

Casey tried a random door, found it was unlocked and opened it. She ran in without a second thought, and slammed the door. It seemed to be a house. "Crap... I gotta check the place, but CAN'T let go of the door... Ugggggggghhhhhhhh, worst and best luck ever."
